KRISTIN CAREY'S INTERVIEW WITH GABRIELLE REILLY

Kristin Cary's recent role in the blockbuster comedy with Owen Wilson, "Hall Pass" had her channeling a different side of herself... the vixen.  Kristen not only has stunning looks, she has a great command of her craft and the intelligence to bind her exceptional gifts and talent together.

Please enjoy Kristin's interview on camera tips for bloggers/actors, sexuality, Owen Wilson, beauty tips and her life.

Gabrielle Reilly:  Congratulations on the success of "Hall Pass."  You're obviously a "nice girl," how did you get into character for your cougar role as Aunt Meg?  Can you tap into that side of yourself more now that you had to discover that character?

Kristin Carey:  Thank you. I had worked with the Farrellys on a Sprint Commercial and we just bonded over the Red Sox as well as Cape Cod. These guys are so open and really want to get to know you. I remember being so impressed with how down to earth and incredibly kind they were. I kept in touch with them after commercial wrapped, and then the call came through to test for the Studio.

I think there is a little Aunt Meg in all of us. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it and go for it. I had to let all my inhibitions go right out the window. Aunt Meg is proud of who she is and doesn't apologize for having a healthy sexual appetite. I have taken a little Aunt Meg with me, like her confidence and the ability to not care what others think. I loved playing her. I loved her zest for life and the way she really takes advantage of every moment and enjoys herself fully.

Gabrielle Reilly:  What struck you most about working with Owen Wilson?

Kristin Carey:  Owen is incredibly kind and laid back. He loves to have fun and play. He was very supportive and complimentary. He is at the top of his game and a real comedic genius. He makes it look so easy.

Gabrielle Reilly:  Do you have any advice for working in front of the camera for all the video bloggers out there?

Kristin Carey:  Be open and present who you truly are. Be ready to play, and be up for anything. Do your research and homework on the character, make your choices, then let it go. Trust yourself and go for it.

Gabrielle Reilly:  You're so beautiful! What are your favorite beauty tips?

Kristin Carey:  Wow thank you! I am Irish and German and have fair skin, so I try to limit my sun exposure and use a lot of sunscreen. I try to get facials every 6 weeks. I love to exercise and get a lot of sleep and drink a lot of water. Stay away from sodas! That is the best remedy. Most importantly I really try to choose foods that are high in vitamins and anti-oxidants so I can help repair the damage that happens to my skin. I change my skincare routine up about every 6months so it keeps everything fresh. I think meditating and Pilates keep me feeling centered and less stressed out, so my skin benefits from that tremendously.

Gabrielle Reilly:  What does your weekly fitness routine look like?

Kristin Carey:  I like to do Pilates three times a week and mix in Cardio like the elliptical or hiking. I really like to change it up with ballet classes, yoga and free weights. I get bored easily, so it's fun to try new things. I really want to try trapeze work and martial arts for 2011! You gotta move it or you lose it!

Gabrielle Reilly:  What does your diet look like throughout the year?

Kristin Carey:  I am a pretty healthy eater. It just makes me feel better, especially when I have 12-14 hour days. I really take care of myself. I stick to protein and veggies and then throw in a bit of fruit and brown rice. I do like to splurge and allow myself to do that. Life is too short to deprive yourself. Pizza is one of my favorites as well as really good Mexican food.

Gabrielle Reilly:  Who are your favorite designers?

Kristin Carey:  Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Armani, Gucci, Vera Wang, Elie Saab to name a few. There are so many wonderful designers. Depends on the mood I am in. I love designers that understand a woman's body, curves and all.

Gabrielle Reilly:  What characteristics do the Farrelly brothers bring to their movies?

Kristin Carey:  First of all humor. They like to push it to the edge and then jump right off. No regrets. All their movies have tremendous heart and a real message, if you can get past the "fake chow" and poop jokes.

Gabrielle Reilly:  What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Kristin Carey:  I love exploring the local music and art scene. I am so lucky to live in Los Angeles, even though I miss my home away from home in Cape Cod, but culturally we are so full and there is never a dull moment in this town. Many weekends a good book and a glass of wine are just what the doctor ordered.

Gabrielle Reilly:  What are your favorite books, movies and TV shows?

Kristin Carey:  I am into the Classics. I just re-read The Great Gatsby and Great Expectations. Just awesome. I also have been catching up on some classics like "Cool Hand Luke," which I watched over the weekend. I watched "All About Eve" and "Chinatown" both recently. I have a very long list that I need to catch up on.

On TV I love Nurse Jackie, Mad Men, Damages, Modern Family, Californication, Weeds just to name a few!
