Fernando Frisoni has made it a long way in a short time from Brazil to taking Australia by storm.  Fernando was nominated for the GQ Man of the Year with his fashion collection that would look really comfortable on the high fashion runways of New York City.  

Fernando has stopped in to The Global Townhall to share some of his passion for both fashion and life in this interview with Gabrielle Reilly.

Gabrielle Reilly:  Do you have any fashion tips that you can give our readers to look their best?

Fernando Frisoni:  I believe that everyone should follow trends but softly and slightly, sometimes I look at people with a very trend piece looking completely out of place, it becomes boring and without any personality. For one to look its best it must follow an instinct not exactly a trend. Always believe in classics don't think too much or don't try to hard just dress it organically natural from your own persona, if you like stilettos shoes wear them don't try platforms just because is in fashion it becomes fake.

Gabrielle Reilly:  How did you make the break in the fashion industry to build your name up?

Fernando Frisoni:  I've being working on the fashion industry for a long time back in brazil so I knew where and how to break in here in Aus, I came to Australia because I felt in Love with an Australian almost 9 years ago. My break in the fashion industry happened quite fast, I guess I had a good idea and I knew the right person at the right time, after that it is a lot of hard work, more new ideas, I guess a bit of talent and my accent! 

Gabrielle Reilly:  How do you arrive at your design inspirations?

Fernando Frisoni:  There are always a theme, something is always happening in my life that makes me inspired, a poet gets inspired by love and sadness a dress can also be inspired by that. My inspirations are usually very tribal I have something tribal on me in fact Im from a country with lots of tribes and Australia is also a like that. Human nature always have inspired me a lot, I like ghettos because Im not part of one, that freedom fascinates me to explore those ghettos more and more. 

Then I became a style, my own style, part of that is a branding exercise that makes me repeat my style over and over in such a different and innovative way but keeping the design integrity to it. My inspirations are really mine and I don't really shared them much.    

Gabrielle Reilly:  Flattered to be on the GQ Man of the Year list?

Fernando Frisoni:  Yes very flattered but is a little bit scary, I have never being competitive neither sportive so I don't love that say "and the oscars go to" Oh no! 

Gabrielle Reilly:  Where are you based?

Fernando Frisoni:  Sydney and my Atelier in Darlinghurst 

Gabrielle Reilly:  Where are your clothes available?

Gabrielle Reilly:  What market segment/price range are your clothes designed for?

Fernando Frisoni:  My clothes are made for smart, intelligent, well travelled, non pretentious, tasteful kind of people.

My price-point is not exuberant expensive it is affordable and a fair price point
